Have you ever accidentally left your paintbrushes out, only to find them all dried up and ruined? Don’t throw them out just yet!
Whether you want to clean a paint brush covered in dried paint – or one that you have just used – simply soak them in fabric softener!
For hardened brushes:
– Add two tablespoons of fabric softener to one cup of warm water and let them soak overnight! It will soften the paint, and rinse off easily.
For recently used brushes:
– Wipe the excess paint from the brush and run it over a paper towel or a cloth to get rid of as much paint as possible.
– Soak your brushes for 10 minutes in the fabric softener solution (two tablespoons to one cup warm water).
– Shake off the excess fabric softener solution.
– Reshape the bristles and stand the brush up to dry.
